Electrolytic Advanced Oxidation

Electrolytic advanced oxidation is to decompose organic pollutants in water through the strong oxidant produced in the electrolysis process, or oxidize ammonia nitrogen into ammonia gas, so as to achieve the effect of degrading COD and removing ammonia nitrogen, and degrade large molecular organic matter into small molecular inorganic matter. The mechanism of electrolytic advanced oxidation is relatively complex, including the direct oxidation of hydroxyl radicals generated on the surface of the anode and the indirect oxidation of pollutants by the formed oxidizing substances. The choice of electrode material is crucial for the efficiency of electrolytic advanced oxidation and has obvious selectivity for different pollutants.
